Maintenance of Way Books |
Denver & Rio Grande Western maintenance of way books list the railroad's engineering plans for track work and other right of way structures. Plans in these books include (among other things): turnout, frog & switch schematics, ballast sections, fences, rock detectors, MOW buildings, signs, clearance diagrams. etc. Some of the more exotic plans include dynamite sheds and motor car couplers!
I have scanned and posted the following MOW books:
The majority of the MOW scans are between 100 and 225 kb in size - this seemed to produce a good tradeoff between loading time and readability. A few of the scans are larger, none more than 413 kb.
The plans display best at 1152 x 864 resolution, but are viewable at lower resolutions if you don't mind scrolling the charts a bit.
